The Tipsy Toad

I am a raging liberal. And I am very. Angry.

I'm Noelle, a 19-year-old soon-to-be full-time Aveda student with a passion for handmade clothing and accessories. I have a wonderful boyfriend who inspires and encourages me every day. If you want to win me over, post pictures of French bulldogs, songs by David Bowie, ramblings about good philosophy, and funny quotes by anyone under the sun.

  1. Clearly you are dead, since you have not posted anything in a week.
    answer:

I’m sorry! I moved blogs. I’ll follow you under my new handle.

  2. Hit me with that URL also.
Love your blog fellow southerner. Yeehaw!
    asked by stirfrydays
    answer:

    Get along, little doggie! Bahahaha.

  3. Really sorry that you feel the need to uproot in order to be able to say what you want to say again, without someone attacking you for it. I think that in and of itself is why I have never stepped into the arena...openly, anyway. These people are supposed to be preaching tolerance, but then they bite someone's head off for simply expressing an opinion they have a right to express and/or for slipping up. Sad. Would you be willing to give me your new URL? :)
    asked by biognosis
    answer:

Eh, it’s okay. I’m just going to try to steer away from political things anyway, but when I express my opinion, I’d like to be able to do it without being attacked for how un-PC I’m being, even if it was just accidental. There are a lot of awesome people here that I’ll still follow. And, of course I’ll send it to you!

  4. Sorry to hear about all the shit you're having to deal with. I would really like to continue to follow you on Tumblr, because I enjoy your posts immensely! So I would be super happy if you sent me your new URL.

And you don't have to follow me back or anything! I can't imagine following 500 blogs. I am not even following 50 and that seems like too many at times.
    asked by graham-bunny
    answer:

It’s okay. I am probably overreacting, but Tumblr is supposed to be a safe place, and I don’t feel that it is anymore under this handle. Plus, I’d like to steer away from political discussion and just post fun things.

I will follow you back! I love your Tumblr, and lots of others. A lot of that 500 (more like 300-something, haha) are strictly news/political blogs, or blogs that I followed back when I was doing that. Anyhoo. Thanks for allowing me to be part of your exclusive list of blogs you follow. I’m honored!

  5. Aww >_< I'm sorry to hear that you're changing URLs. Send me yours in my ask?
    asked by trollnexus
    answer:

Sure will! I’m also following like 500 people, and my dash is always clogged, so… haha. Time for cleanup anyway.

  6. I’ve gotta move Tumblrs. Send me an ask if you’d like the URL.

I really love what some people are trying to do here, but I feel like I need to censor my posts to be PC all the time. I’d never call anyone ugly, especially not based on body type, but I don’t have to be attracted to anyone if I’m just not.

I am also tired of the shitstorm that follows every time I use the words “woman” and “vagina” in the same sentence. How about, instead of being a dick to everyone who accidentally omits a certain gender, even though they try to remember every time they post, you pour your efforts into establishing other genders into the community. Just making people afraid to forget those genders does not solve anything. Just politely ask me to fucking add in the other genders. I’m not actually that ignorant, but as a Southerner, the concept of other genders and sexualities is pretty new to me and I forget sometimes.

And how about we stop trashing people who get plastic surgery, huh? Yeah, maybe they are a victim of the media, but you know what you’re doing when you talk about them like stupid bimbos who “ought to be happy with their bodies” just because you’ve made peace with yours? You’re blaming victims. And you know what else? It’s none of your fucking business who gets plastic surgery, or why. If you think insecurity is a problem with the media, consult the fucking media. And sometimes, it has nothing to fucking do with that. I have an ED, and even though seeing pretty ladies in the media doesn’t help, that’s not what it’s about.

So, how about having a conversation with whoever it is you’ve got a problem with instead of just making big fat fucking blanket statements? I’m preparing myself for all the horrible things I’m sure tons of people have to say, but fuck that shit. I’m not censoring myself anymore.

I like skinny guys and am not really attracted to the super buff! I would get plastic surgery if I could afford it! I am a privileged, white cisfemale, and I try to use that privilege in the right way, but sometimes I act like a human and I forget!

Oh hey, I find boys who are comfortable with themselves attractive, whether that be a 250 pound obese guy, or a super fit man, or a scrawny guy. Don’t be hatin’ ya’ll :)

I’d like to know why I’m seeing this being reposted by fitspo blogs. Hard work should be celebrated, not dismissed as “unattractive.” Not to mention, body policing is only done by assholes. Both men shown here are equally gorgeous. Fuck off with that judgment.

I have to say I don’t prefer very buff men, but I’d never dismiss someone’s body type as all-around unattractive, for everyone. I’m simply not attracted to it personally. It’s kind of annoying me how it’s impossible to have a preference without the forecast reading: shitstorm.

I’m sensing Special Snowflake Syndrome in this post. I mean, it’s cool, like what you like, but I don’t see why someone feels the need to make this picture in the hopes of getting it reblogged by thousands of people who also want to be special.
*shrug*

I dunno. That’s why I normally don’t reblog “Reblog if you…” posts. Meh.

  9. Did she make these into actual shorts, or are there some like this for real? I have shorts with the same pattern, but they are sleep shorts with a blue ribbon around the waist.

How does what happen? I don’t get it. D:

I think it’s supposed to be about how their ankles are showing or something. Haha.
